Low Poly Mouse Game
2–4 sneaky and squeaky low-poly mice face off against a lone cat in the battlefield of a human house. Mice use proximity chat to communicate with other players, while the cat hunts their noises. Will the mice perform enough tasks to destroy the house, or will the cat defeat enough mice to save it?
My Role
I served as both the Technical Director and Co-Producer on this project, wearing two hats that kept me at the intersection of code and coordination.
Technical Director
Oversaw two programmers, prioritizing tasks to ensure all features were implemented on schedule and integrated cleanly into the game. Beyond management, I was hands-on with programming — I personally implemented the multiplayer networking using Steamworks and Facepunch Transport, and built out the proximity voice chat system using MetaVoiceChat. I also contributed to various in-game features and systems throughout development.
Co-Producer
Kept the full 10-person team on track with overall project deadlines and milestones. I was responsible for communicating progress, blockers, and timeline updates to our faculty advisors during regular class presentations, making sure stakeholders always had a clear picture of where the project stood.
Key Features
Tech Stack
Built in Unity 3D with C#, using a focused set of tools to ship a polished multiplayer experience.
